Why hire a wedding dj?

Some people say that your wedding dj will determine whether your reception is successful or not. Whether this is true or not isn’t something we’re going to try to determine. What we’re sure of, however is that your reception needs music to entertain your guests while they wait for the program, or during eating time.

Some couples actually choose to hire bands, and this is also a great idea. However, there are several advantages to hiring a wedding dj which most bands can’t provide. First is that bands need to take breaks every15 to 20 minute sets whereas a wedding dj can let the music continue playing even when he is on break.   

Aside from this, a good wedding dj costs cheaper than a band. This is because you are hiring one person and his equipment for your wedding entertainment, instead of the four or five members of a band. You can also be sure that songs will sound great and there will be no problem with the variety of songs that the wedding dj needs to play for the next three or four hours during the reception. Most bands will only play for an hour, if you want more air time, then you’ll need to pay more.

Wedding djs are of course suggested if you want a more comfortable atmosphere during the reception. Wedding bands are the top choice if you have a have a high society wedding, or you’d like to maintain that romantic ambience during the reception.
